Fish META Universal PCR Kit
The AquaAmp® Fish META Universal PCR Kit was developed based on the patented technology of AquaGenTech Co., Ltd. (Registration No. 10-2367357, Korean Intellectual Property Office).

The PCR primer set composed of each forward and reverse primer binds to the mitochondrial 16S ribosomal RNA gene (16S rDNA), the alternative DNA barcoding region of animals.
The primer set produced a single PCR band with an amplicon size of ca. 400 bp after conventional PCR amplification. The primers were designed to be sufficiently conserved to anneal to nearly
all fish species, facilitating researchers to successfully produce clear single PCR bands. The kit can be easily applied to DNA metabarcoding of environmental samples where fish usually inhabit.
In addition, researchers conveniently performed high-throughput NGS analyses using the overhangs for Illumina HiSeq® and MiSeq® attached to the 5′ terminals of both forward and reverse primers.
The bioinformatic analyses showed the exclusively high composition rate of fish species.
